Last Year At Marienbad

So far, I've spent the majority of this new year laying on a couch with the stomach bug:( On the bright side, this has allowed me to catch up on my film list!

Last Year at Marienbad was one that I screened. Though I found the plot to be somewhat incomprehensible, the visuals were absolutely stunning.

Costumes by Chanel, of course.

If you have seen this film, I'd love to hear your interpretation of it!

The Ivy Salon

Brad Ngata at The Ivy is a Marie-Antoinette inspired salon where you can enjoy a cupcake whilst getting your hair 'did' in uptown Sydney, Australia.

The faux Rococo finishings alone could compel me to book an appointment...

Byblos Art Hotel

16th Century architecture collides brilliantly with modern art & furniture in the flamboyant Byblos Art Hotel.

Located in Verona, Italy, the hotel houses a permanent collection of work by the likes of Damien Hurst, Cindy Sherman, and Anish Kapoor.

The room of my dreams.

I'm thinking a few soZealous pieces could easily fit in here...??

D.I.Y. The Lady Gaga Look

Whether you love her or hate her, Lady Gaga sure got everyone talking with her raucous VMA performance & frequent costume changes at the award show this past weekend. You know I was ALL ABOUT that Rococo-inspired stage design for "Paparazzi"!

So, what better way to achieve the Gaga look than with a little "shoulder drama" from Brick My Lane?

This other one I had to throw in for fun!

Or maybe you do have a legitimate need for some lacy bunny ears in your life?
