Hi! I'm Erin. I like to think of myself as a Mod Housewife. What is that, you say? 50 years from now, I imagine we'll look back on the married woman of the Twenty-Teens and see her with laptop in hand, a baby on her hip, and wearing red lipstick. Also, slightly disheveled hair. Well, I'm a little bit of that...and a whole lot of other things, too.

I started soZealous back in 2008 as a way to document the progress of my Etsy shop (of the same name). I had (and still have) a HUGE love of thrifting, so I made a small side business out of revamping vintage decor and selling online and at craft fairs. The shop has since been retired, but I maintain my creativity through various home projects and playing hostess when I can. I also do some freelance writing on the side.

My days are spent at home with my precious gem babies, Ruby (3) & Sterling (1). It has proved to be as challenging as it is rewarding and I wouldn't want to miss out on this swiftly-passing season of their lives. Success is measured by how little we have the TV turned on during a given day.

Wayde, my husband, has a high aptitude for techie things, dressing well, and playing drums with his band, Parlours. Plus, he says he still loves me after all I've put him through and that makes me a lucky lady.

Why is my blog called soZealous? I'm glad you asked. The definition of zeal is: fervor for a person, cause, or object; eager desire or endeavor; enthusiastic diligence; ardor. I was also inspired by Romans 12v11 - "Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the LORD."

I am a follower of Jesus Christnot by default; not because I'm Americanbut because I have been a witness to his power & goodness in my life. If you seek Him wholeheartedly, you will find him (Jeremiah 29v13), and that has made all the difference for me.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I hope this is a place you feel welcome & inspired. xx

FUN FACTS:

**I am an INFJ (complex personality), yet can pass as an extrovert if the situation calls for it.

**I used to be a barista, but I only drink decaf coffee now. So, don't assume that I'm pregnant if you see me ordering a non-caffeinated beverage.

**I have lived in London, England & Auckland, New Zealand; each place for one year.

**Based on my day-player status in feature films, I am eligible to join the Screen Actor's Guild (but have not because of annual fees). Some actors I've been in films with include Gwyneth Paltrow, Adrian Brody, Ellen Page, Cillian Murphy, & Susan Sarandon.

**I would like to consider myself an open book, but I try to be careful about how much I share over the internet. I'll tell you what you want to know over a (decaf) coffee:)
