Daughter in the House of Fools

by Enon.

Aesthetically, this is one of my favorite music videos of all time. I forgot about it for a couple years but was reaquainted with it this week. over and over and over...

Oh, the visuals!

Fuse-ID is Kishani Perera, an L.A. based interior designer. Maybe when I'm rich & famous would I be able to employ her services, but until then I can be inspired by her impressive project portfolio. Downtown Los Angeles Loft, in particular.

Currently: Contemplating the addition of mirrored ruffle frames into the soZealous shop...stay tuned!!

Shop News — June '08 Edition

I've officially been selling items on Etsy now for just under 2 months and I'm quite happy with the progress my little shop has been making!

The wall sconces have been the most popular items, selling shortly after being posted. MORE TO COME!! (Including a purple colored mirror sconce similar to the first one I sold).

Mini-ruffle framed bulletin boards have been a hit too! If only I could keep up with the demand (as it's been a challenge to find the lovely vintage ones that stay true to the revamped salvage decor theme).

Commercial and jewelry sales have been a bit disappointing, though it's flattering that the pieces that are selling are the ones I actually put work into. So once those are gone, they're GONE. I've decided to stick with the original format with frames, sconces, candle holders, etc. I'm always up for surprises though...

Thank you to those who have fueled my little dream by making purchases or offering your support. I wouldn't be as zealous if it weren't for YOU.

I came across this gorgeous floor lamp at one of the greatest stores in Des Moines, Calypso 968. This could easily be replicated with a pillar floor lamp and spool of ruffles, which I might have to try!

They don't love you like I love you...

My hubby's been wanting to incorporate some MAPS into our decorating scheme...how bout something like this, babe?

Wardrobe Remix

My creative endeavors are extending beyond the realms of home decor. There's an interesting photo pool on Flickr called Wardrobe Remix.

I present to you my submission:

Priceless Floor Lamp

Last night was Girl's Movie Night and the feature film was "Hors du Prix" [Priceless - (English title)].

The lavish hotel decor provided the most entertainment for me, in particular a mod floor lamp with eye panels on it. It's near the end of the film, and I've tried to google image search it now for far too long.

However, I did stumble across a CRAFT article on how to make something quite similar with food containers and downloadble eyes.
